Pinterest

I was going to start this post with “Is there anything more frustrating than not being able to find a recipe of a meal you loved” and then I realized, yes in fact there is and you’re life must be really simple and easy if that is the most frustrating thing to happen to you.  But it really is so incredibly frustrating, right?  And what’s even more frustrating is being pretty positive you pinned it on Pinterest and then not being able to find it!  Ahhhhh!

Don’t get me wrong, I love Pinterest.  Love it with a burning passion.  I love it too much actually.  It’s really just another time waster.  Did I really need to pin the dress I’ll never wear, or the cleaning tips I already knew, or the laughing elephant?  Yes, I believe I did.  But maybe not when I should have been getting work done, or doing laundry, or not sitting on my butt.

Pinterest is great at doing exactly what it was designed to do– share ideas with others.  But the format isn’t so easy.  There is no simple way to search for your own pins.  If you search for something it brings up every single pin in the entire Pinterest database, but of course never the one you’re looking for.  I’m curious to know how their search engine works.  What determines what pins it brings up first?

Dear Pinterest,

If you’re listening, I request a simple way to search your own pins.  I request tagging capabilities beyond the title.  That would really help when you’re searching for something specific but can’t remember what you labeled it.

Love,
J

What “convenient” things do you love and hate?  What would you improve about Pinterest?
